"A Tip Top walk"

From Newton Poppleford we walk beside the Otter to Tipton, then begin a steady ascent of East Hill. We skirt Fire Beacon Plantation before being rewarded with stunning views towards the coast. We then descend via Harpford Woods back to the Otter Valley. A moderate walk with one significant ascent and descent. There will be a coffee stop two thirds of the way round (so bring a flask). Long trousers advised in view of some overgrown paths including nettles.
